Abstract

This study explores big data's impact on the growth and development of entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The study aims to determine how entrepreneurs in emerging economies like Pakistan benefit from using Big Data analytics in their quest for sustainable economic growth and development, identify challenges, and proffer solutions. An explorative approach is adopted in this study because much of the knowledge about Big Data is still in its early stages. Empirical information was collected from government publications, journal articles, conference proceedings, and books. The study concluded that Bid Data analytics has a significant positive impact on the growth performance of entrepreneurs. Equally, the study found that adapting and using Big Data analytics leads to entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and exploitation. Finally, it is recommended that entrepreneurs evolve, adopt, and use Big Data in their enterprises to achieve rapid growth and sustained development in their businesses, resulting in sustainable economic development in Pakistan.
